Blog Post Part 1
Situation:
Liquorplus prides themselves on offering a wide variety of spirits, wines, and craft beverages. With so much competition customers often are faced with finding a reliable store that has what they want with good customer service. Furthermore, with the rise of online shopping, we wanted to highlight Liquorplus's delivery service to ensure customers are aware of it.
Task:
I was tasked with writing a blog post that highlights what sets liquorplus apart from the competition. I did this by showcasing their seasonal beverage selection, their employee's product knowledge, and the online shopping features on their website.
Action:
To achieve this I wrote a structured blog post that had separate sections that explain in detail what Liquorplus does that makes them better than their competition.
Result:
The post successfully captured the unique strengths that Liquorplus has. As a result if this post is implemented it should help reinforce Liquorplus's position of being a trustworthy and all around good choice for customers who are looking for quality products and a good shopping experience.
Blog Post Part 2
Paid Advertisement
Situation:
Liquorplus wanted to promote their partnership with Backcountry Brewing to boost their brand awareness and drive sales of their products.
Task:
My task was to create an appealing digital marketing advertisement that would catch the eye of both loyal and potential customers which highlights the unique flavours of beer that Backcountry Brewing offers.
Action:
I created a visually appealing and simple digital advertisement that showcased three new and fruity beers from Backcountry Brewing. I used high quality images and small yet important pieces of text to make it easy to read for our customers. This ad was tailored to Liquorplus's digital channels on both desktop and mobile viewing.
Result:
While the ad was not used by the company to promote Backcountry Brewing, it received positive feedback from the marketing team at Liquorplus.
Sales Email
Situation: Liquorplus wanted to send a sales email to their customers to increase their customer engagement and sales. The goal was to increase awareness for their exclusive deals and increase their foot traffic in store.
Task:
My task was to create an email sales pitch that catches the attention of the recipients and persuades them to make purchases in store or online.
Action:
I created a personalized email template that shows the benefits of shopping at Liquorplus. This includes the exclusive deals and wide selection of products. I utilized a time sensitive 15% off discount offer to incentivize our customers to act quickly on these sales. I also included a link to the full flyer on the website to encourage our customers to visit us online.
Result:
The email was met with positive feedback from instructor as well as personnel from the Liquorplus team.
Promotional Instagram Post
Situation:
Granville Brewing wanted to promote their Lions Winter Ale which is available during the colder months. The goal was to create a post to inform customers of this seasonal Item.
Task:
I was tasked with creating an appealing Instagram post that would highlight the ale to be the ideal drink for the winter season.
Action:
I created an Instagram post which featured the Winter Ale, the notes of flavour, and the times its available for. The limited time aspect of the ad should drive customers to the store due to it being a time sensitive product.
Result:
The post received positive feedback and if implemented in the future it could help generate some excitement around the product and help its sales.
Weekly Newsletter
Situation:
Liquorplus wanted to promote a vodka tasting event, incentivize customers with an exclusive discount, and encourage them to check out their social media pages. The primary goal was to increase in store foot traffic, and increase social media followers.
Task:
My task was to create an engaging newsletter that would advertise the vodka tasting, the exclusive deal, and drive traffic to their social media pages.
Action:
I created a visually pleasing newsletter that included important information for the main talking points that Liquorplus wanted me to focus on. There was information on how to attend the tasting, the exclusive code to encourage purchases, and promotes Liquorplus's social media pages on Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
Result:
The e-newsletter received positive feedback from my instructor and the Liquorplus team. The inclusion of the social media promotion should help increase their follower count on their social media accounts and encourage customers to engage with them.
Promotional X Post/Tweet
Situation:
Liquorplus wanted to have a holiday giveaway to attract new followers and increase their social media engagement. The prize is a bottle of Crown Royal.
Task:
I was tasked with creating a tweet that would promote the giveaway and inform customers on how to enter.
Action:
I made an engaging tweet that announced the giveaway. It included details of what the prize was and how to enter the giveaway. I also used emoji's to attract attention and included that in order to enter they must tag a friend which should increase our online traffic.
Result:
This tweet was well received by the team at Liquorplus and if implemented it could increase their online engagement.
Interactive Press Release Page 1
Situation:
Liquorplus was opening a new store in Sidney BC and was wanting to generate more awareness for the grand opening. They aimed to drive traffic to the new store and ensure the community was informed about the new store opening.
Task:
My task was to create an interactive press release that would announce the store opening and highlight additional details like the address, hours of operation, and the store opening party.
Action:
I created an interactive press release that had important information about the new store and the opening event we were holding. The release featured an imagine and links to additional information on our website about the company. I emphasized the benefits of the new location and ensured that the people of Sidney felt welcomed into our new store. The tone was celebratory and highlighted our excitement to expand to a new and vibrant community.
Result:
The press release effectively captured the important information regarding the store expansion and was met with positive feedback from the Liquorplus team. If this press release is used it will be successful with informing the residents of Sidney about the Liquorplus brand and will ensure everyone knows where their new location is.

Advertorial Example
Situation:
Liquorplus wanted to showcase their unique offers, seasonal products, and their commitment to ensuring their customers are satisfied. The goal was to create an advertorial example that highlights what sets Liquorplus apart from the competition and encouraged their customers to shop in our store and online.
Task:
My task was to create an advertorial that showed the qualities of Liquorplus like their exclusive products and created a call to action to drive customers to visit us in store and online.
Action:
I created an advertorial that focused on the unique aspects of Liquorplus. I highlighted their commitment to having a wide variety of domestic and international products. I also emphasized their seasonal products like their craft beers, wines, and spirits. This advertorial highlighted the quality and diverse selection of their seasonal offerings and I included a call to action to motivate the readers to learn more about the brand and products.
Result:
Specific metrics were not available, but the advertorial successfully communicated Liquorplus's unique value proposition and if implemented should have success in driving additional customers to their brand.

Earls Menu Revamp
Situation:
Earls Restaurant was needing an update on its menu to incorporate the new menu items they were introducing. Their existing menu was outdated and had many items on it they no longer sold
Task:
My task was to redesign the menu to align with current dining trends and incorporate their new menu items.
Action:
I collaborated with the chefs to create an innovative menu that lists the new menu items in a visually appealing way. They were looking for a clean and simplistic design which is what I incorporated into the design process.
Result:
The menu should gain positive feedback from customers and it should make them feel more excited about the new menu items that Earls is carrying.

Save On Foods Tasting Advertisement
Situation:
Save On Foods was hosting a marinated chicken tasting event and was looking for an effective way to gain awareness for the event.
Task:
My task was to create a visually appealing poster which promotes the marinated chicken tasting event. The primary objective was to encourage customers to test the products.
Action:
I focused on Save On Foods signature green colours and included relevant information to catch customers eyes and make it easy to read. The bright and vibrant colours also helped it stand out from a distance.
Result:
The poster successfully raised awareness for the event and we were able to sell out of 75% of the marinated chicken we had on display for that day. Many shoppers expressed their interest in wanting to try the new flavours but were unsure about purchasing due to their higher price point.
Social Media Post: Snapchat
Situation:
Liquorplus was looking to advertise on Snapchat as it is a newer advertorial space and can help connect them with a younger audience.
Task:
My goal was to create a straight forward Snapchat ad that helps raise awareness for Liquorplus and highlights some of their products as well as their store hours.
Action:
I kept the ad very clean and clear and I focused on ensuring our hours of operation was highlighted but also wanted to ad visual appeal with beer bottles.
Result:
By using this approach I was wanting to increase sales by showcasing our store hours and products to a younger demographic. If this post was implemented I believe it would attract many new customers to the business.
